Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre (SCAC) in SIP announced on Jan 16 through its WeChat account to start offering discounted tickets from Jan 18 for nine performances to be staged in 2019.
The news said half-price tickets for the performances will be available from 10 am to 9:30 pm on Jan 18 at SCAC's flagship e-store on Alibaba's Tmall platform, while 20% off tickets can be booked through SCAC's WeChat account, official website and ticket system from Jan 18 to 25.
The select performances include "The Golden Cangue" by Perry Chiu Experimental Theatre from Hong Kong, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" by TNT Theatre Britain, "The Barrister" by a local crosstalk club, "Bailu Village" by Shaanxi People's Art Theatre, "The Murderer in the Hanging Garden" rock musical directed by renowned Chinese director Meng Jinghui, "The Butterfly Lovers" and "The Widow of Xianglin" by Shanghai Yue Opera Theater, LUMINA COELI concert by Girls' Choir of France, and "The Elements" by a team of Spanish Flamenco artists.
It is learnt that SCAC's "Half Price Day" program started in 2015, with the purpose of offering more and more people chances to enjoy its performances.
