A delegation from the CPC Working Committee at SIP’s Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone (DLSEIZ) visited China Pharmaceutical University and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu province, on July 7 and 8. In the tour, the delegation signed agreements with the schools to establish the “SIP Scholarship” funds to offer scholarships to qualified students there.
It is learnt that SIP authorities initiated the “SIP Scholarship” program in 2011 as part of efforts to attract graduates of different majors to SIP. So far, the “SIP Scholarship” funds have been established in a number of schools across the country.
At the signing ceremony, the DLSEIZ delegation gave the schools’ executives a specific introduction to SIP’s biomedical industry and cooperative projects between SIP authorities and higher education institutions in related fields, expecting to widen collaboration with the schools in talent cultivation, research projects and commercialization of research findings.
