As part of the 2020 (12th) Venture Week for International Elites that kicked off in Suzhou on July 10, an event themed “Concentration of High-quality Resources to Build a World-class Biomedicine Highland” was held in SIP on the same day. It consisted of policy interpretation and academic lectures designed to facilitate information exchange and resource integration between domestic and overseas biomedical professionals and businesses.
At the event, Wang Zongmin, chief of Administrative Examination and Approval Division at Jiangsu Medical Products Administration, gave the participants an analysis of the current development of the pharmaceutical industry in the country along with a specific introduction to the country’s new measures for administration of drug registration.
Xiao Guitao, chief of IP Protection Division at Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province, expounded on a series of policies, laws and regulations on protection of intellectual property rights to the participants.
Zhang Yukui, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and a researcher at CAS’s Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, gave a speech on “Proteomics-driven Precision Medicine”.
SIP Administrative Committee deputy director Zhou Zhigang spoke at the event, revealing SIP’s plans for a more prosperous development of biomedical industry.
