The authorities of SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ) convened a meeting on July 6 to seek opinions for optimization of the regulatory system for the functional zone established in SIP’s comprehensive bonded area in 2015 with the approval from the State Council of China for the purpose of facilitating trade diversity. Several officials from SIP Customs and the representatives of 16 companies based in the zone participated and shared their views.

It is learnt that the functional zone had gathered 99 trade and logistics companies by this May. The companies can enjoy tax breaks and other preferential policies for domestic and international trade concerning bonded and non-bonded goods.
At the meeting, the participants discussed strategies for further reform in the area’s regulatory system based on the needs of the local companies.
