The opening ceremony of VWIE-SIP, part of the 2020 (12th) Venture Week for International Elites (VWIE) that kicked off in Suzhou on July 10, was held in SIP on July 11. The event offered global talents an opportunity to know better about SIP’s talent policies and services.
CPC SIP Working Committee secretary Wu Qingwen spoke at the event, inviting global talents to build a career in SIP while giving a leg up in local development.
Other officials from SIP authorities introduced SIP’s talent incentives and services to the participants, and announced the lists of the new batches of SIP’s “Leading Talents in Science and Technology Development” and “High-tech Enterprises in Free Trade Zone in SIP”.
Concurrently, SIP authorities launched the “Intellectual Resource Sharing Platform for High-caliber Talents”, the “Senior Engineer Title Assessment Base of Suzhou” and the “Jinji Lake Partners” program for the purpose of bettering talent services.
Apart from that, SIP authorities and Tongxieyi Pharmaceutical Talent Club, a community of new drug developers in SIP, signed an agreement to make SIP a permanent venue for hosting the International Conference on Cutting-edge Biomedical Technologies and Related Policies and Regulations, an annual event sponsored by the latter for academic exchange in the biomedical sector.
The opening ceremony was live-streamed online so that overseas talents could watch it, too.
