The Communist Youth League (CYL) Working Committee of SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently received a thank-you letter from a resident who spoke highly of the public-benefit child care class organized by the committee for the purpose of giving dual-income families a helping hand in taking care of their children during the summer holiday.
The child care class lasted 20 days, and concluded on Aug 2. Over 150 juveniles participated, and showcased what they had learned from the class at the graduation ceremony.
The volunteers who served the class received the certificate of honor. And the CYL committees of Xietang Sub-district and SIP Institute of Services Outsourcing declared further cooperation in volunteer services for child care classes during summer vacations.
It is learned that a number of teachers from primary and middle schools and students from colleges provided volunteer services for the class, assisting in its management or giving lessons. Many local authorities and enterprises offered support for it.
