Wenhuiyuan Community and Chaoqian Road Experimental School in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district jointly organized an event on Mar 9 in the aim of enhancing youngsters’ awareness of environmental protection.
In the event, led by a volunteer, a number of the school’s students cleaned and tidied up the community’s “Waste Sorting Practice Hall” which is equipped with game props and displays designed to teach people waste sorting methods. The “job” reinforced the students’ knowledge of waste sorting.
After that, the students grew garlics in the Beautiful Back Garden following the instruction and demonstration of the volunteer. In this process, they gained a better understanding of the relations between nature and lives.
