Communities in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently carried out publicity campaigns to remind local residents of cautions against financial fraud during the Spring Festival holiday that will soon begin.
In the event in Xingzhouwan Community on Jan 23, the administrative staff and volunteers distributed handouts on illegal fundraising to the participating residents and gave them a detailed account of various financial scams. They also introduced a WeChat program to the residents, calling on them to help expose illegal financial activities by making online reports.
Jintang Community hosted an event of similar kind on Jan 21 to warn people to stay away from usury and illegal fundraising.
