Wenhuiyuan Community in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently hosted the 2nd Wenhuiyuan Spring Festival Fair cum January Handy Service Activity to welcome the Chinese Spring Festival that will fall on Feb 1.
The event included free handy service, art creation and cultural experience activities designed to promote interactions between local residents and enhance their sense of happiness.
At the event, some volunteers wrote Spring Festival couplets for residents, while others imparted knowledge on environmental protection, epidemic prevention and laws to the participants. Besides, there were paper-cuts, preserved meat and other products available for use during the festival.
Five volunteers and a volunteer team received commendation at the event for their contributions in environmental protection, COVID-19 prevention and other aspects.
The event was well received by the participating residents who shared the traditions and customs of their hometowns and families for celebrating the Spring Festival.
