SIP’s Jinji Lake Sub-district recently saw a variety of events to usher in the Chinese Spring Festival that will fall on Feb 1.
In the event in Sijixin Community, the participating residents learnt to make pictures with the traditional craft of filigree to mark the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac.
In Dushi Community, 160 security guards and sanitation workers received gifts from Zhang Jixin, a 96-year-old local painter who has been showing his care and love for the community’s security guards, sanitation workers and elderlies over the past 18 years.
In the event in Xi’an Community, several calligraphers and calligraphy enthusiasts wrote Spring Festival couplets for local residents to use as decorations during the festival.
