SIP Social Welfare Center, with an investment of about RMB 200 million, was inaugurated on Oct 14 at SIP’s celebration for the Double Ninth Festival which, a traditional Chinese festival for the elderly, fell on the day.
The social welfare center, located south of Dongfang Avenue and west of Yongqing Road in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district, boasts a total floor area of 34,000 square meters with 420 beds and other advanced facilities along with professional services to provide help for the elderly, the disabled and children living in difficult circumstances.
The center provides daily and medical care for the elderly and the disabled, and serves as a shelter for children in difficult circumstances. It also has a central kitchen which, run by a catering service team with good reputation, provides healthy meals for needy people in different communities.
