SIP’s Shengpu Sub-district launched a reading campaign on Oct 17 to encourage local residents to read books to learn about Chinese history. The 11th Shengpu Sub-district Open-air Dancing Show was held at the same time.
At the event, the sub-district office presented history books to a number of senior members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and youngsters who are members of Young Pioneers of China, hoping they can play a leading role in learning history of the country and the CPC.
A number of amateur art troupes consisting of local residents staged dances to celebrate the CPC’s centenary.
