Suzhou Working Group for Supporting Xinjiang’s Development recently donated anti-epidemic supplies worth about RMB 500,000 to Horgos, a city in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, after the city launched an emergency response to two asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on Oct 3.
Among the donations are medicine, protective equipment, disinfectants and other articles from Suzhou authorities and enterprises. They were delivered to Horgos as fast as possible.
It is learnt that the working group has helped raise anti-epidemic supplies worth more than RMB 1.5 million since it started to work in Horgos last year under a pairing assistance program aimed at helping local people shake off poverty and live a better life.
