SIP hosted a symposium with religious groups on Sept 16 when representatives from related authorities and a number of local religious groups discussed a series of topics revolving around the development of religions in the country.
At the event, the representative from the United Front Work Department of CPC SIP Working Committee expressed thanks to the religious groups for their cooperation in ensuring effective epidemic prevention and safety management in local temples and other religious sites, hoping they could continue keeping high alertness against safety pitfalls during the upcoming Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
Moreover, Chen Guo’an, an associate professor from Soochow University, gave the participants a talk on development of traditional culture in the modern society, sparking a discussion about the development of religions in the country.
