The Bulky Waste Disposal Center of SIP’s Loufeng Sub-district came into operation on June 17. With a total floor area of about 453 square meters and a 21-meter-long processing line, it is capable of each day disposing 50 tons of household waste such as mattresses and sofas that are too large to be accepted by the regular waste collection.
Located at No. 58 Hongye Road, SIP, the bulky waste disposal center boasts integrated facilities to crush waste and sort materials through magnetic separation equipment and a dust suppression system for concentrated disposal and recycling.
“We will improve our bulky waste collection and delivery system and monitoring mechanism in the future to ensure more efficient and scientific disposal,” said an executive at the center.
