Residents in Songyuan and Cailian communities in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently had the chance to learn first aid skills from rescue professionals from Red Cross Suzhou Branch.
Yan Ming, an instructor from the organization, visited Songyuan Community on Apr 1 when he imparted first aid knowledge to the participating residents, demonstrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other emergency response skills before instructing the residents to practice them, and answered their inquiries.
In the training session in Cailian Community on Apr 2, the instructor gave the residents a talk on basic first aid skills and prevention and treatment of common diseases, and taught them methods of coping with sudden cardiac arrest, foreign body airway obstruction and other emergencies.
