Global Times, a newspaper under the auspices of People’s Daily, the largest newspaper group in the country, unveiled the 2020 lists of “Ten Most Attractive Industrial Parks for Investment in China” and “Top 10 Chinese Industrial Parks in Investment and Development Environment” at the investment promotion event held in Beijing on Apr 2. SIP ranks first on both of the lists.
According to Global Times, the evaluations for the lists are made based on meticulously designed indicator systems to look for cities and development zones with creative and innovative practices in driving internationalized development.
SIP received the highest scores in the comprehensive evaluation of business environment, level of internationalization, economic strength, location advantages, human resources and people’s livelihood.
A representative from SIP Investment Promotion Committee gave an introduction to SIP at the event from the perspectives of local policies and strategies for industrial development, achievements in attracting investment and future development plans.
According to the introduction, SIP saw 89 new foreign-invested projects in the first quarter, with newly registered capitals of US$ 820 million, a year-on-year increase of 59% and 4% respectively.
