The JLSA was declared a 5A-class national scenic spot by China National Tourism Administration (merged into the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2018) in 2012, becoming the country’s only scenic spot of its kind with functions for business travel. Over the following ten years, the JLSA has seen huge changes.
The JLSA gathers a number of SIP’s landmark buildings including Suzhou Center, Oriental Arc and Suzhou IFS, which compose beautiful pictures with Jinji Lake and demonstrate the industrial diversity and prosperity of Suzhou.
The JLSA offers favorable conditions for business operations, travel and living. Many people like to take a walk or run along the Jinji Lakeshore Footpath in the morning before starting their work in the nearby high-rises.
The ancient-style Ligong Causeway standing in the water leads to the Jinji Lake Music Fountain which stages amazing audio-visual shows in the evening.
Therefore, the Jinji Lake is hailed as the “fashion artery” of Suzhou, and has won a list of honors for its abundant tourism resources, beautiful nightscape and excellent facilities.
