Synchronized swimming, also called “water ballet”, is an Olympic sport that mixes swimming with ballet and gymnastics, and includes diving, stunts, lifts, and endurance movements.
The 2022 National Synchronized Swimming Championships is sponsored by the Swimming Sport Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and Jiangsu Sports Administration, and jointly organized by Jiangsu Sports Games Management Center, Suzhou Sports Administration and SIP Culture, Sports and Tourism Office with the assistance of SIP-based New Era Group and Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre Management Co Ltd.
The event will include 10 games in solo, duet, mixed duet and team categories where the national synchronized swimming team and eight local teams will give full play to their skills to compete for the championships.
The event will allow Suzhou to gain valuable experience for organizing sports events and help quicken its pace toward the goal of “developing into a world-famous city of sports culture”.
