SIP Market Supervision Bureau (SIPMSB) conducted a series of safety inspections before the Chinese New Year in the aim of ensuring that all the people in SIP could enjoy a safe and happy holiday.
Six inspection teams from SIPMSB visited about 30 business premises. At the farm produce markets, neighborhood centers and supermarkets, the inspection focused on checking anti-epidemic measures, food safety and price management, and at drugstores, it focused on precautions against COVID-19 and records of sales of antipyretics, antitussives and antiviral and antibiotic drugs which are important for COVID-19 contact tracing. They also visited HB World and other entertainment venues to check the safety of special equipment such as boilers and elevators.
