The World Pavilion is again one of the highlights of this year’s Suzhou International Day event. At 13 booths, international students from Soochow University and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University showcased a variety of exhibits from 13 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Russia and the Republic of Korea, which attracted many citizens.
Hong Young Ho, a South Korean student who is studying at Soochow University, participated in the exhibition with several of his good friends. Hong said, “This activity was very meaningful although the preparation process was a bit hard. I hope there will be more opportunities for us to engage in such activities in the future.”
Apart from that, many parents and their children took part in the activities on the opening day. A family of four from Switzerland said, “We have been living in Suzhou for four years and we like this city very much. Today’s activities are also very interesting.”
