From the nanotech heating materials that can be washed in water to the anti-fog electrical heating films, the dazzling displays of Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics (SINANO) at the event indicated the huge development space of the nanotech industry in the future.

According to Deng Qiang, deputy director of SINANO, the institute not only leads innovation and development of cutting-edge nanotechnologies, but also provides services relying on its Vacuum Interconnected Nano-X Research Facility (Nano-X), MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) and other facilities and platforms to help promote industrialization of new nanotechnologies and cultivate related businesses and talents.

Deng disclosed that SINANO is teaming up with over 100 higher education institutions, research institutes and enterprises to tackle related technical challenges and improve the ecosystem for nanotech innovation and application in various fields. In this sense, nanotech is serving as a string linking a wide range of industries together.
