Ameur Baail Cherif, an Algerian who works at Kempinski Hotel Suzhou in SIP, has joined the community workers of Jingying Apartment Community to serve at the community entrance to check people’s temperature, record their information and provide assistance in applying for an e-pass.

Duncan, a British man who works in Wuxi (a neighboring city of Suzhou) and has been living in SIP’s Aoyun Community for many years, is serving together with his 18-year-old son Fraser as volunteers for checks at the community entrance.
“We learnt through the WeChat Moments that the community committee is recruiting volunteers, and we applied, just hoping to lend a hand in containing the virus,” the son said in fluent Chinese.
