SIP Holds an Evening Reception to Celebrate 2009 Chinese Lunar New Year 

 

On the evening of January 17, Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) held a reception at Suzhou International Expo Center to celebrate the coming 2009 Spring Festival. More than one thousand representatives from SIP Administrative Committee, authorities and companies gathered together to embrace the Year of the Ox.

 

 

 

Mr. Ma Minglong, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the gathering and praised SIP people for uniting and working hard to find solutions to current adverse situations as well as for their efforts in promoting the brand awareness of Suzhou Industrial Park in 2008. Mr. Ma also encouraged SIP people to work harder by following the example of "the animal of the year" in the Year of Ox: to stand up to difficulties like a brave calf fighting against the fierce tiger, to serve the people wholeheartedly like a willing ox, and to be more professional by continuously seeking perfection like the skillful cook in ancient time who dissected an ox without blunting his knife by avoiding bones. Mr. Ma was optimistic about the future and urged SIP people to join hands and try their best to change challenges into opportunities and pressure into motivation so as to celebrate the 15th anniversary of SIP with more achievements.

 

 

At the end of the reception, Rafael Aguilar's Ballet Teatro Espanol brought its famous flamenco dance Paso Doble and enchanted the audience with bold and unrestrained music as well as fearless and ambitious image of a matador. The show created a climax and also symbolized the spirit of SIP people: to face up to any difficulties ahead, to meet the severe challenges caused by global financial crisis, to constantly strive to become stronger, and to continuous progress and grow.
