2009 XML Suzhou Lab: Wealth of Animation
2009 XML Suzhou Lab: Wealth of Animation was held on April 17 in Suzhou International Science Park (SISPARK) and the world's top masters in animation and digital media sectors gathered in Suzhou to help China boosting its animation industry. This is also a good opportunity for local companies in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), designated as a National Animation Industrial Base, to have access to international financing resources and cooperation with foreign counterparts.

The three-day event (April 17-19) jointly sponsored by SIP and Singapore X|Media|Lab and organized by SISPARK planed one-day lectures and two-day business negotiations. The topics discussed included the development of animation industry, international business opportunities, original production, processing outsourcing and joint production strategy, and innovative and technological development. The organizers invited 17 animation masters and authoritative experts with influence on the future trend of the global animation sector, including John Stevenson, the director of Kung Fu Panda, Eric Rollman, the president of Marvel Animation and producer of such masterpieces as Spider Man, as well as Zareh Nalbandian, the founder and CEO of Animal Logic and producer of The Chronicles of Narnia and The Hulk.
