Approved by National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, Suzhou Industrial Park has been conferred by Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping the title of China's first "Demonstration Area of Digital City Construction" on September 6. On the plaque-unveiling ceremony, the experts showed SIP's public geographic information service platform, from which the rich geographical data resources and geospatial-based information sharing mode had proved to be successful experience of "digital SIP". Qingyuan Hong Kong & China Water developed an application system based on SIP Public Service Platform of Geographic Information to facilitate data browsing and searching. The special feature of pipeline section screenshot makes possible the real-time underground facility management.
