SIP Launches "Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents Program" to Strengthen Talents' Hand in Industrial Transformation and Upgrading
To implement the resolutions of the national, provincial and municipal working conferences on talents, and the strategy of "relying on talents in strengthening SIP", to promote the second wave of business growth in an all-round way and give full play to leading role of talent resources in pushing forward industrial transformation and upgrading, Suzhou Industrial Park authorities has recently officially launched "Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents Program" and issued Opinions of Carrying out Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents Program.

According to the "Opinions", from 2010 to 2015, SIP will lay emphasis on introducing and cultivating 200 leading talents with high professional qualifications and 200 leading talents in innovation and start-up endeavors every year, including those of "Recruitment Program of Global Experts", "100-Talent Project of CAS", "High-end Innovative and Start-up Talents of Jiangsu Province", "Gusu Leading Talents","SIP's Leading Technological Talents" , "Leading Talents of Internationalized Scientific Disciplines" and "Leading Talents of High-end Service".
Under the direction of the new talent program , SIP aims to build clusters of top-notch talents, striving to double the talents with master's degrees and senior professional titles in five years, and to rank high in terms of talent indicators among national-level economic and technical development zones, as an international talent highland of distinct intellectual and economic characteristics, the first choice for high-end talents in innovation and start-up endeavors by setting up a positive interactive mechanism between industrial transformation and upgrading and optimization of talents structure.

Not long ago, SIP issued "Three plus Five" industrial planning and decided on nanotech industry as its strategic core industry. And then, SIP will give priority to developing the three leading industries of electronics & IT industry, machinery manufacturing industry and modern service industry, and the five new-emerging industries of bio-pharmaceutical, nano-photoelectric & new energy, software and animation & game, unified communication, and eco-environment protection. "To support SIP development plans and give full play to talents in regional economic development, SIP has issued the new talent policy based on the optimization and adjustment of previous talent polices," said Xia Fang.
"Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents Program" aims to deepen "Leading Technological Talents Program" and to give impetus to "Innovation and Start-up of High-end Overseas Talents", "Leading Sci-Edu Talents", "Innovation and Start-up of Leading Talents of High-end Service" and "Leading Talents with High Professional Qualifications". And to accelerate the clustering of top-ranking nanotech talents, SIP will select and bring into SIP 100 leading technological talents every year in the next five years (growing and incubating projects included), no less than 40 leading nanotech talents, and introduce over 3,000 nano-related talents every year, with over 50,000,000 yuan funds in place for supporting nanotech talents every year.
