   On October 26, the ceremony of Asian Innovation Award 2010 in Four Season Hotel, Hong Kong, the top 3 winners were selected from 12 finalists of nearly 300 entries by the independent panel of judges by the criterion of innovations that break with conventional processes in creative ways to improve the quality of life and productivity.
    The "Innovations that break with conventional processes in creative ways to improve quality of life or productivity" is the criterion for judgment, popularly known as "sci-technology changes life".
    The water filter of Tata Chemicals Ltd., the gold prize winner from India, uses simple materials such as rice-husks and silver nanoparticles to filter bacteria, so as to clean water and stop water from moving through the machine once the purifying capacity is exhausted. Suzhou Natong Bionanotechnology from Suzhou, won the silver prize by its Functional MicroArray, which uses a cluster of nano-micro needles to safely and effectively administer drugs without the ouch factor.
