The 300-kilometer-long Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway is the first high-speed railway (350km/hour) in East China, as well as the backbone of the planned intercity transportation network in the Yangtze Delta. The opening of the railway will further shorten the temporal and spatial distance among the cities in the Yangtze Delta as if within the same metropolis. By the time, the 20-minute Shanghai-SIP trip will alter people's ideas about transportation, jobs and even life.
As the third largest station along the railway, SIP Station is conducive to promote the geographical advantages of SIP, foster the development and transformation of SIP's urban and industrial structure, and catapult SIP onto the "30-muniute metropolitan life circle".
