SIP released the list of “AI Application and Innovation Centers (AIAICs)” and the list of members of SIP AI Application and Innovation Expert Panel on May 9.

Among the AIAICs are tech companies Huawei, Siemens and IFLYTEK, ride-hailing company Didi Chuxing, research organizations NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Suzhou) AI Research Institute, and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. They will strive to play a leading role in expanding application of AI technologies in industrial production, education, traffic and other fields.

The expert panel consists of scholars and experts with remarkable achievements in the AI sector. It will serve as a think tank to bolster AI development in SIP.

SIP expects to accredit about 20 AIAICs and set up over 40 duplicable demonstration projects for AI application by 2025.
