Melodies from Suzhou to sound in the USA

It will be SZSO's debut in the United States. The young orchestra founded in 2016 cherishes the chance so much that it will elaborately put together a list of glorious Chinese and western music works to ensure a feast for the audiences' ears. Chen Xieyang, renowned Chinese conductor and SZSO's music director, will lead the performance.

The list includes Spring Festival Overture, Jasmine Flower, Fantasy for Erhu and Orchestra, Horse Racing, Dance of the Yao People and Dunhuang which highlight artistic characteristics of different ethnic groups in China, and Frühlingsstimmen, L'Arlésienne and Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36, which the overseas audiences must be quite familiar with.

Despite the fact that SZSO is on a tight schedule recently for a succession of performances home and abroad, it has attached great importance to the event and is sparing no efforts to make a good preparation for it, hoping it can help enhance the overseas audiences' understanding of Chinese music and culture.
