SBT's original ballet Xi Shi was staged at Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts, Nanjing, on June 2. It was the second appearance of the show in the capital of East China's Jiangsu province and the fifth leg of its six-city tour across four southern provinces including Hunan, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Guangdong and Jiangsu.

Compared with its debut in the city in 2015, which deeply impressed the audiences with its magically woven story about a girl hailed as one of the legendary "Four Beauties in Ancient China" and its beautiful stage presentation, the new version showcased fascinating charm in its perfect blending of traditional Chinese cultural elements, modern dancing art and western classic music. No wonder, it yielded a seat occupancy of over 90%.
