The book fair included a forum on graded reading which is designed to help children improve their reading efficiency by matching them to the right books at the right time. At the forum, the attendees offered their opinions on how to establish reading level division and evaluation mechanisms that meet Chinese children's needs.

 Apart from that, six publishing houses engaged in publishing children's books in East China's Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu and Fujian provinces recommended a long list of books to youngsters.
