Qiang Jing, partner of Apricot Capital, a Shanghai-based investment firm, shared his opinions from the perspective of an investor.

Qiang said investors must adhere to certain principles to select projects and choose the time and size of investment, instead of just following the crowd, especially when there are changes in the capital market, such as the recent regulation reform in Hong Kong.

Concerning the biotech companies, he suggested those intending to go public should establish an all-around funding mechanism to ensure effective use of investment, appropriate information disclosure and high compliance to the rules of both the capital markets and the regulators.
