At the invitation of China Culture Centre (Singapore) and Lianhe Zaobao, the Flower Season Youth Art Troupe of SIP Youth & Children Center, consisting of five teachers and 25 performers, participated in the 1st Singapore-China Youth Art Festival in Singapore from July 13 to 17. The troupe presented a special show and partook in a series of events in an effort to enhance Singaporeans’ understanding of Chinese culture and tighten the ties between the two countries.

SIP youths give a fantastic show in Singapore


The Flower Season Youth Art Troupe of SIP Youth & Children Center returned to Suzhou lately after their performance at China Cultural Centre, Singapore. The troupe, consisting of 25 members, showcased Chinese characteristics and Suzhou elements through the fantastic show.

As part of the 1st Singapore-China Youth Art Festival, the free show wowed the Singaporean audiences with 10 performances, seven of which were originals. Among them were singing and dancing performances with Suzhou characteristics, such as Attachment to Suzhou and Jasmine Flower, Kunqu Opera titled Sweet Dream in the Garden, Beijing Opera titled Beautiful Little Girls, and modern folk music titled Spring in Jiangnan.
