Everybody is a generalist

Our Spring, a singing and dancing performance given by 24 little performers from Beacon Primary School and the Flower Season Youth Art Troupe became a highlight of the show at China Cultural Centre, showcasing both Singaporean and Chinese cultures. The performers danced to the music that perfectly incorporated Chinese folk song Jasmine Flower and Singaporean patriotic song Munnaeru Vaalibaa.

The Flower Season Youth Art Troupe consists of 25 performers, from Grade-2 pupils to Grade-1 junior middle school students, and this was their first time to give a full-length show overseas. According to Gao Juzhen, art director of the troupe, the children have rich experience in performance. She said, "Everybody is a generalist. I am so proud of them. They can do nearly everything for the performance by themselves, including putting on makeup and changing costumes."
