The Cooperation Conference of Top Universities and Institutions cum Signing Ceremony for Cooperation Projects was held at Dushu Lake Convention Center on July 6, starting the “Top Universities and Institutions to Suzhou” event. Contracts on 29 projects were signed, including the CAU (Suzhou) Organic Cycle Research Institute, a cooperative project between Suzhou People’s Government and China Agricultural University (CAU). Fourteen cooperative projects, including Jiangsu Huachang New Functional Materials Research Institute and BUAA (Changshu) Smart Hardware Innovation Park, were inaugurated.

CAS SIMM Suzhou Achievement Transformation Center


The Suzhou Achievement Transformation Center of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was jointly founded by SIMM and SIP in 2014. It mainly provides services for commercialization of SIMM’s projects in Suzhou. The center, together with CAS SIMM Suzhou Drug Innovation Research Institute, a macromolecular drug research and development platform established in August 2015, serve as new driving forces for enhancing cooperation between the CAS system and the SIP-based enterprises in transforming innovation achievements andaccelerating the development of bio-medicine industry in SIP.
