The Cooperation Conference of Top Universities and Institutions cum Signing Ceremony for Cooperation Projects was held at Dushu Lake Convention Center on July 6, starting the “Top Universities and Institutions to Suzhou” event. Contracts on 29 projects were signed, including the CAU (Suzhou) Organic Cycle Research Institute, a cooperative project between Suzhou People’s Government and China Agricultural University (CAU). Fourteen cooperative projects, including Jiangsu Huachang New Functional Materials Research Institute and BUAA (Changshu) Smart Hardware Innovation Park, were inaugurated.

CASIA Suzhou Research Institute


The Suzhou Research Institute of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA) was jointly founded by CASIAand SIP on July 6, 2017 relying on CASIA's advantages in AI research, technology development, achievement transformation, talent cultivation and industry incubation.
It focuses on AI, big data and smart manufacturing to develop high-performance embedded visual computing and development systems, on-line real-time 3D reconstruction systems, big-data-based universal machine learning and smart analysis systems, aiming to facilitate effective integration of science and technology with businesses, market and capitals as well as promote transfer and transformation of innovation achievements to better serve the social and economic development.
