The 5th "Sungent Cup" Suzhou Youth Science Popularization Community Tour 2016 was formally unveiled on the square of Hudong Neighborhood Center on Nov 13.

According to the sponsors, this year's community tour was carried out in almost all the neighborhoods in Hudong, Huxi and Dongshahu communities, and over 500 families took part in it.

Featuring both creative exhibitions that were visually intriguing and imaginative and robot assembly contests that tested thinking and assembling abilities, the event was suitable for people of all ages and saw a large number of residents participate. Meanwhile, the public-minded sponsors provided all the materials and the participants could use them free of charge.

The event's organizer SIPYCC currently boasts Sungent·Adolescence Future Engineer Studio, whose predecessor was the Genway·Adolescence Future Engineer Society founded in 2009. In July of every year, the studio gives students 10,000 class-hours of free training on  robot, marine modelling, programming, creation and invention, etc., which provides a platform for young science and technology fans to improve themselves. It is also the first out-of-school science and technology society for the youth in Suzhou.

Sungent Group also donated science and technology equipment to the studio to encourage the young generation to forge ahead on the way of technological innovation.
