General Solar Power (Suzhou) Invested by CSP Breaks Ground in SIP
General Solar Power (Suzhou), with a total investment of 300 million US dollars, broke ground on May 26 at Weiting Town of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). The Company will provide to domestic and foreign markets the cutting-edge and high-efficiency thin film solar cells and services and become the most competitive player in solar power sector.

China Solar Power (CSP) provides energy solutions by designing, developing, manufacturing, and marketing solar cells and thin film solar modules. General Solar Power (Suzhou) is the wholly-owned foreign enterprise invested by CSP.

The construction site is located north of 312 National Highway and to the west of Xinghua Street overpass. The overall plan of the total 300 million dollars investment is an aSi (amorphous silicon) thin film solar cells project with 200MW production scale, and Phase 1 investment of 96 million dollars plans the capacity of 50MW.

Apart from two production bases of thin film PV solar cells and production equipment, CSP's Suzhou project also houses three R&D centers, namely, the technological center (30,000 square meters), the agricultural test center (15,000), and the BIPV (building integrated PV) development center (15,000).
