Suzhou Delwich British International School Obtains Approval
Ministry of Education recently issued official approval for the establishment of Suzhou Delwich British International School in SIP. Suzhou now claims four of the 7 international schools set up so far to cater for foreign students in Jiangsu Province.

According to the document of approval by Ministry of Education, Suzhou Dulwich British International School will specialize in providing education services for foreign students, covering the stages from pre-school education to senior high school education. The school is located within Suzhou Middle School, SIP, and the construction has already got underway.
With increasing number of expatriates working and living in Suzhou, there have appeared international schools, first the Singapore International School in SIP in 1996, and then Eton International School in SND, followed by Japanese School, which together have 1,400 students aged for education from kindergarten to senior high.
The newly approved Delwich School will adopt international certificate curriculum, and one Chinese class will be given each day. The school can accommodate a total enrollment of 1,000 students. The new semester will begin in the coming autumn with a first batch of 200 students. The schooling is for the moment set for kindergarten to sixth grade of the primary education.
