Animation Tycoons to Gather at 2008 XML in Suzhou

2008 XML, scheduled from May 8 to 10 at SIP International Science Park, is going be a grand gathering of animation and cartoon tycoons of world renown, such as Pixar Animation Studios, DreamWorks, SKG, and Time Warner from USA.

The event is organized jointly by SIP Administrative Committee and X-Media Lab. Aong the participants in the event will be Pixar, DreamWorks, Time Warner, LucasArts, Wiki Animation and Cartoon of India, Children?s Channel of ABC Broadcasting Group of Australia, and senior staff of the world's top film, animation and media. VIPs to the gathering are GM of HK Mendond Co., Ltd., GM Zhang Tianxiao of Fantasia Animation of Shanghai, Chen Jiaqi, Director of Cartoon Dept. of Juniors' Program Center of CCTV. During the event, International mentors group, animation creation teams, risk investment institutions will carry out exchanges on the commercial value of digital media and the improvement of original creativity of Chinese enterprises.

The 2008 XML will consist of two parts: professional forums and closed labs for face-to-face negotiations on commercial plans and international development.
