The authorities of SIP’s Jinji Lake CBD received on Mar 24 a thank-you banner from Carsem Semiconductor Suzhou, a branch of Carsem, a Malaysia-headquartered supplier of turnkey packaging and test services to the semiconductor industry. The company’s general manager presented the banner to Zhu Xiaoyan, deputy director of Jinji Lake CBD Administrative Committee, expressing thanks to her and her colleagues for their help amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
It is learnt that the CBD authorities offered efficient support to the company so that 41 of its employees could take designated trains to get back to work when the company suffered serious labor shortage due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Thanks to the local authorities’ help, we haven’t encountered any customs, logistics and supply problems so far since we resumed operations after a period of closure due to the disease. We can complete our orders on time,” the general manager said.
Moreover, according to him, the authorities are making coordination for power supply for a project that Carsem is pushing on to transfer part of its production tasks from Malaysia to SIP in a bid to avoid COVID-19’s impact.
