Chen Zhenyi, director of the Standing Committee of Suzhou People’s Congress, and his contingent visited two manufacturing companies in SIP on Mar 23 to learn about their operations and needs for help from the city and local authorities.
The officials first visited TF-AMD, a company focusing on development of CPUs, GPUs and APUs as well as chip packaging and testing. The officials watched the production processes at the company’s workshops and gained a good knowledge of its new projects and future plans. Chen inquired of the company about its difficulties in operations, and urged related departments to help figure out solutions.
The officials then visited Ascentage Pharma, a HKEX-listed clinical-stage biotech company engaged in developing small-molecule targeted therapeutics for addressing unmet medical needs in cancers. They had a tour around the construction site where a series of facilities are being built for development and manufacturing of small-molecule drugs, and acquired a better understanding of the project’s progress and functions and the company’s needs for support from local authorities. Chen promised that the city and local authorities will give full support to it.
