Yang Fenghuan, secretary of the CPC branch at SIP’s Shuixiang Community, received on Feb 13 a call from the checkpoint at a nearby expressway exit to verify the identity of a German guy who rents an apartment in the community. Yang and her colleague immediately checked the information about the man and gave feedback to the checkpoint, and the man soon went through the check.

It is learnt that not only SIP, but also the entire country have strengthened traffic control and lockdown as countermeasures against the coronavirus that has caused pneumonia in tens of thousands of people across the country.

Considering that many expatriates working in SIP and the neighboring cities live in the community, the community authorities have launched a series of services to help them get a temporary pass for trips during the COVID-19 outbreak.
