Shidai Guangchangnan Community in SIP’s Hudong sub-district is trying multiple ways to make various handy services easily accessible to local residents.

In one move, the community is joining hands with an increasing number of partners including government offices, enterprises and social organizations to host events near the residents’ homes to offer consultancy on laws and police services, free haircut and other services to them.

For enterprise employees, the community has launched a program called “Administrative Services Supermarket” to hold events at official buildings to introduce local administrative services such as those concerning housing fund, taxes, and household registration to people working there. There are also events to provide the employees with free medical treatment and advice.

Apart from that, the community’s administrative staff members visit the residents on a regular basis to expound on policies concerning their interests and learn about their needs. The administrative staff members also visit the local elderlies frequently to take care of them and chat with those who live alone to help them get rid of loneliness.
