SIP’s Haide Community recently launched a campaign in collaboration with the local property management company and some of the residents to catch stray dogs and cats in the community and send them to organizations where they can be taken good care of and have chances to be adopted.
“The campaign also helps eliminate the safety threats and disturbance caused by the stray animals to the residents and the damage of their feces to environment,” the community committee said.
On the other hand, the community is enhancing efforts to call on the residents to be kind to stray animals. For example, in a recent event for the purpose, a group of kids attended a lecture on stray animals and visited a stray dog and cat care center where they gave the animals toys they made, fed them and cleaned the catteries and kennels for them.
