Two communities in SIP’s Weiting Sub-district recently enhanced their efforts to increase local residents’ awareness of garbage classification.

Xinlou Community hosted an event on Aug 18 when a community staff member gave the participating youngsters a talk on categories of waste and sorting methods, asked them questions to help them consolidate what they had learnt and guided them to practice garbage classification.

 

Qingyuan Community hosted a fun sports meet which attracted many children and their parents. In the event, the participants watched a video and listened to the interesting stories about garbage classification, and also partook in several fun games devised to enhance their knowledge on waste disposal.
