An over-30-member delegation from CPPCC Suzhou Committee, led by the committee’s chairman Zhou Weiqiang, visited SIP on June 10, learning about development of Taiwanese-funded businesses in the area and hoping to help enhance communication and cooperation across the Taiwan Straits.
In the event, the delegation toured around Jinji Lake Taiwan Youth Pioneer Park which, opened in SIP AI Industry Park on Apr 18, is designed to bolster startups founded by young Taiwanese, Suzhou Eslite Bookstore, the first Chinese mainland flagship store of Taiwan-based retail bookstore chain Eslite, and Macronix Microelectronics (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a branch of Taiwan-headquartered device manufacturer Macronix International. In the process, the delegation members gained a better understanding of their operations and offered advice on future work.
