Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) opened its first 5G-based outlet in SIP on June 11, hoping to offer its clients better banking services relying on advanced technologies.

The outlet provides efficient and enjoyable services based on integrated application of 5G network, AI, AR, VR, Internet of Things and man-machine interaction technologies.

For example, there are ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) near the outlet entrance to guide the users to obtain the services they need and provide consultancy to them through real-time video communication with client managers. Besides, each of the tea tables in the sofa zone has a touching screen through which users can go through a series of self-help procedures, and biometric identification is employed to ensure user security.
